| The chainset is the group of cogs on the cranks, where the pedals are. They can comprise of one, two or three cogs, called a single, double or triple chainset respectively.
Your chainset needs to be free of grime and show no signs of movement about the axle. Movement here usually indicates a worn bottom bracket. A bent tooth or warped ring could throw the chain. It is possible to remedy these problems with a little persuasion using the appropriate tools. |
