Your wheels do the rolling and as such are a seriously integral piece of kit! Essentially they comprise of rims,hubs and spokes. A buckled wheel can usually be trued using a spoke spanner and re-tensioning the spokes in the offending area. A buckled wheel will not only give an unbalanced ride they will also rub on the brakes preventing optimum stopping power and seriously slowing your forward motion. Rims should also be periodically checked for wear and damage although if looked after should give you many years of service.
