A mid drive motor is positioned in the crank area of the bike and operates the motor by simply turning the pedals. The bike seen here has a bottle battery with a range of 20-30 miles between charges. A rack battery will offer considerably more distance between charges but is slightly heavier and more expensive. We recommend the bottle battery for commuters and short trips to town, allotment etc
